My wife and I connected serendipitously with Kate when she was showing a unit for rental which was located in the same stairwell as our condo. She was very forthright and well spoken and most notably not pushy or predatory. I asked her for her card even though we were already considering an agent a family member had recommended. I suggested to my wife that we both meet with her. She felt the same as I, and so we chose Kate. We are so glad we did.

Of all the houses we have sold, never have we had an agent who worked so hard to market our house and stage it for showing. Since our primary residence is not in Austin we were having to deal with the sale from out of state. Kate kept us informed of every item that needed addressing, every date that could prove important (as well as keeping us abreast of the time-line leading up to it), and acted as our unofficial local sales agent for all the contents of the condominium. When people came to get furniture that Kate had sold for us, she met them at the condo.

If we hadn’t used Kate we would still have the condo on the market for two reasons. One, once Kate was our agent, she had the staging and photos done in about a week. And a few days after that we were listed—everywhere it seemed like. Two, Kate facilitated the remote digital signings and other paperwork by explaining everything to us neo-Luddites in what I am sure was for her excruciating detail. My wife and I have never done a digital closing before and Kate held our hands.

By the day of the closing we had been out of the condo for 10 days or so and the condo was empty except for two pieces of furniture that Kate was going to get Goodwill to take. After we had driven home she called to tell us that she had sold them for us. She also met with the cleaners for the final clean out of the unit.. None of these things would have been easily possible for us to do long-distance.

Two days before closing we had a couple of electronic documents to sign and on the day of the closing, the funds just appeared in our account. I think the unit was only on the market for five weeks, maybe a little less, and the first two open houses were victims of bad weather. I have joked with Kate, ”I love seeing messages from you because they are always good news.” We would recommend Kate with no reservations whatsoever.
